Hello foodies, I'm back, or at least I think I am *grins*. It has been a while, how many months has it been? Five or six? Do you miss me guys? Are you still there, or did you all get tired of waiting for me? I really hope not *praying*.

Aaah, these was taken eons ago, so me remembering the corresponding prices is impossible. I think we bought some computer paraphernalia in SM San Lazaro when we had these treats. Pares is a set meal so you'll get the beef stew, fried rice, soup and a regular softdrinks if you purchase it. They also offer other viands, seen above is their Paksiw na Lechon and Tofu & Fish Fillet, fried rice was bought separately, look at the size of the rice bowl in the Pares and the ones with the regular viands, the first has a bigger one, don't ask me why, I don't know, either.

Pardon the crappy post, this is my first after a long while, so being rusty is still a viable reason *grins*. I'll polish up on my next post, I wish...

Anyways, aren't you glad I'm back? If you're not, please lie, hahaha...

I'm Just Sayin'

Howdy! I haven't been updating this blog lately due to some health issues, nope, I'm not dying or anything, it's just that years of maltreating my body (and old age, I guess) has taken its toll, I'm kinda trying to regain my composure and, hopefully, my health before I do some routine blogging again. My eyesight hasn't been that cooperative either, I guess, that long-shelved plan to purchase a pair of eyeglasses will now come into fruition, by hook or by crook *grins*. Don't we all just wish that we are all eternally young and beautiful, oh well, I do.

Anyway, I haven't done any food photography lately, though there were opportunities, I'm just not that into it (read: enthusiastic enough) these past few days. Well, I sure will continue to eat and explore food varieties so other opportunities will inevitably come. It seems like non-blogging activity for more than a week hinder my thoughts and creative juices (as if *grins*) from flowing, uhm, what else can I tell you without dwelling on specifics? *after a very, very long pause*, Gawd, I have been staring at the monitor for hours without any success in constructing even a single sentence, I think, I'll just surrender and let it be for the moment.

Marcelino's (Whole) Peanut Brittle

My sister attended a seminar in Baguio City and she knows that people won't forgive her if she doesn't bring home stuff from the summer capital, hahaha. In her effort to please us, she had 2 boxes and a number of plastic bags full of goodies when she came home, hahaha, kawawa naman binuhat nya yun lahat mag-isa, di bale sinalubong naman namin sya ng masigabong palakpakan eh, hahaha.

She brought back your usual Baguio loots - cardigans, Baguio-printed shirts, strawberries and yummy, fresh veggies, lengua de gato and peanut brittle just like that of the photo below. The funny thing was, I thought it was samane, as the peanut brittle that I know of is kinda cream to yellowish in color and not brown so I did not took time to unpack and open the jar, my sister just nagged me into trying it, good thing she did because it was a delight to nibble on, I actually finish the whole jar in one sitting, hahaha, there goes another diet.

Greenwich's Triple Ham and Cheese Overload

I give this pizza a two thumbs up!

Hubby bought this for our son as he was badgering him for some pizza but because we are decreasing our son's fast food intake, he decided on getting a double thin crust one, and because our son wants his pizza with nothing but meat on it, he decided on getting Triple Ham and Cheese Overload. The problem with Greenwich-MC Square branch version was - it had some onions on it, luckily, my bebe was sleeping when dada came home so I was able to pick the onions one by one and it looked like there never was any onion on it when he woke up *grins*.

Though I only had a slice as my son kinda swept it, I can honestly say that it was good, really, really good!




According to Greenwich's website: Triple Ham and Cheese Overload is overflowing with 3 types of premium hams and cheeses - Chinese ham, Pastrami ham and Country ham; quezo de bola, mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese. It comes in rolled-edge thick crust (double, family and 18" blowout) and thin and crispy crust (double, family and party square), prices varies accordingly; the one that hubby brought home cost 239 pesos.
