Selecta - Hershey's Milk Chocolate Ice Cream

Note: I was trying to go all natural on the pic so I used no flash, it looked fine on my digicam but it kinda look a lot darker here on my screen. I'm not really sure, but if the photos doesn't look as nice as it should be, please bear with it, I haven't been doing good in food photography lately :(

It's a sizzling summer here in the Philippines, as in it is super hot, sweating and dehydration are all but a common occurrence at the moment *grins*. And what better way to fight of the heat than to eat some chocolate ice cream. I was supposed to buy a Selecta super-thick ice cream, unfortunately, the store I went to was out-of-stock so I decided on a plain Hershey's concoction instead. I prefer fruits in my ice cream but as I am sharing a tub with my family, I knew better than to give in to my cravings, I can only do that in a cup or in a pint or when I visit those scooperies in the mall.

Selecta Pinoy Sorbetes

Commercial ni Bitoy/Michael V. - lima, lima, limang baso po - the advertisement is actually trying to convince consumers that a liter of Selecta Pinoy Sorbetes can serve five people. In actuality, it really can, as long as each of those five are satisfied with just a taste, a non-ice cream enthusiast will be a perfect example. But if you and your family are one of those ice cream lovers, a liter will only serve 3, promise *grins*.

Well, for 89 pesos, we really should be thankful. Photo below is ube (purple yam) flavor, I think cheese and chocolate are the other variants.

Selecta 3-in-1

I mentioned yesterday that a series of post should be expected from yours truly as I am in the process of clearing my hard drive, and as expected from a food blogger (wannabe, hahaha), most of what's in my folders are food pics, so here's a start... please bear with me :)



I'm not really sure if I had already blogged about this ice cream, if I did, sorry for redundancy, if I haven't, that's well and good. We got this in a nearby pharmacy as we went home from church months ago, I remember that half a gallon used to cost less than a hundred but it's 12ophp now, how prices increase in such short span of time is beyond me *grins*.

The name says it all, 3-in-1, it's chocolate, strawberry and ube (purple yam) flavor. It's no Ben and Jerry's but it's an ice cream nonetheless.

Selecta Creations - Brownie Fudge a la Mode

I can't deny it any longer, summer is eminent, we can't help but crave for something cold these past few days, even the breeze feels hot on the skin. We've been gulping sago at gulaman, halo-halo, saging con hielo, street fruit shakes, pearl shakes and ice creams to ease, at least, a little torridity. I just can't believe how fast the days had been, we just celebrated Christmas, as far as I'm concern, then summer is already near, pffft, I haven't even loose a pound. Is it just me or planet Earth is rotating on its axis and revolving rather fast this year *grins*?

Is it yellow or more of gold? Whatever, this is my entry for Mellow Yellow Monday *grins*.

I want some pistachio but we can't seem to find one, so we end up with this, not that I'm complaining, it was actually yummier than I thought it'll be. If you love Cookies and Cream-flavored ice cream then this one is definitely for you.

Ice cream, creamy ice cream, what a treat! Ice cream, creamy ice cream, sure to beat! - natutunan ko kay Barney and friends.

I have been craving for this ice cream since I saw it's commercial, dati pa, back when the flavors were cheese, chocolate, ube and corn, and I just got to taste it recently, wala ng corn, it's vanilla na. But I think it has gotten better, oh well, I'm a sucker for vanilla ice cream so don't take my word for it, try it for yourselves. Don't you just love eating ice cream while everyone else has tonsillitis, walang kaagaw *lol*.

Tag-ulan na kaya masarap kumain ng malamig *lol*. Hubby brought this home a few days ago, I wanted the 3 in 1 plus 1 variant but I guess he heard wrong that's why he bought the 3 in 1 with 33% free or nanghihinayang sya sa free *lol*. Anyhow, bebe and me wasted no time in gobbling the strawberry (for me) and chocolate (for my son) ice cream, we left the ube (purple yam) flavor to dada.
