Pinoy Street Foods
(A Sweet Life)

banana cue - P10.00

carioca - P5.00

camote fries - P10.00

valencia/turon - P5.00

maruya - P5.oo

Definitions:
  • Banana cue (Banana-Q) - a kind of plantain (saging na saba) which is fried and coated in caramelized sugar, usually served on sticks.
  • Carioca - small balls of gelatinous rice that are fried and coated in caramelized sugar, usually served on sticks.
  • Camote fries - strips of sweet potatoes that are sun-dried, fried and coated in caramelized sugar.
  • Valencia/Turon (name varied in different PH provinces) - banana slices [sometimes with langka (jack fruit)] wrapped in spring roll wrappers, fried and coated in caramelized sugar. MY FAVORITE!
  • Maruya - banana slices covered in a pancake-like mixture (flour, baking powder, sweetener, food color), deep-fried and rolled in sugar.

Miss ko na yang mga street foods. Sana isinama mo yung fish ball. :) Noong umuwi ako last year, gusto ko sanang bumili kaso ayaw ng cousin ko at baka raw magkasakit pa ako.

About Me

I am a wife to the sweetest person on Earth and a mother to the cutest baby boy in the planet. I love reading literary books but I have an addiction in contemporary/renaissance romance novels. I am a video game aficionado in the truest sense of the word. I love to travel the world, if and only given the opportunity. I don't know how to cook (but I'm slowly learning) so there's a fascination with take-outs and dine-ins. I could go on and on but I guess you had enough *lol*.
